Okinacea® Complex, Microcitrus Australasica, Pistacia Lentiscus Gum, Polysaccharide Tamarind Seeds
The algae with the Japanese name Umibudo comes from the Okinawa archipelago south of Japan's main island. There the algae are grown in ponds and are sensitive plants that do not like large fluctuations in temperature (between 25 and 30°C) and salinity (not less than 25%). Because of its appearance and color, this algae is also called “vegan caviar” or “sea grape”. Not only is it an effective ingredient in facial care products, but it is also valued as a delicacy in the traditional cuisine of Southeast Asia.
The Okinacea® complex used is not only made up of the active ingredient from the algae Caulerpa Lentillifera, but also contains hydrolyzed bran proteins. This combination is characterized by a significant amount of minerals and all essential amino acids. The complex has been proven to have positive effects by stimulating collagen synthesis. This helps to improve the skin structure and thus supports the maintenance of a firm facial contour.
The caviar lime grows on a small tree in the subtropical rainforests of Australia. The caviar-like capsules of this fruit contain vitamins, minerals, trace elements and fruit acids. Due to a gentle peeling effect, the process of skin renewal is stimulated.
The active ingredient Pistacia Lentiscus Gum comes from the resinous sap of the mastic tree, a wild type of pistachio that grows on the Greek island of Chios. The sap that emerges from the bark crystallizes into drops and is known as “crystallized tears.” One component of this oil is the Klotho protein, which is also found in the fibroblasts of the skin. With increasing age, the activity of fibroblasts decreases. The Klotho protein, also known as “youth protein” and contained in both Umibudō products, can support fibroblast activity. Both Umibudō products also contain important moisturizers and care components.
